The FX-8350 is still an extremely competent CPU for just about anything other than 4K video editing. Paired with the right GPU, you can't beat it for a budget build. I'm sure that your FX-8350 with the 1060 6GB runs the vast majority of games just fine.

hehe I actually use it for video capture and 1080p editing, however I originally built it around the oculus DK2 for VR gaming.
right now the only builds that I feel like would be worth the time are too expensive at $1K+
I've spent around $800 over the last 6 years making it into what it is today so it's not really worth it to upgrade either.
